In the Name of Allah the most Merciful the most compassionate
Kabul, Afghanistan: Based on
the invitation of the Turkey Government, A delegation led by H.E. Burhanudin Rabani the
Chairman of the High Peace Council and former president of Afghanistan departed to Turkey
for a four days official visit.
The high level delegation will have a series of
meetings, in the historical City of Anqara, with H.E. Abdullah Gul. president of Republic
of Turkey, H.E. RajabTayeb Erdogan, The Prime Minister , H.E Dr. Ahmet Dawood Oglu
the foreign Minister and H.E. Mehmet Ali Sahin the speaker of the Turkey
parliament.
The purpose of this trip is to strengthen the relations between two
countries in various aspects. The Republic of Turkey a country that has close religious
and cultural ties with Afghanistan can play an important role in the Afghan Peace,
reconciliations and reintegration process. The High Peace Council welcomes any peaceful
efforts made by the Turkey Government and request more support for a durable peace in
Afghanistan and the region.
The high peace council is established based on the
recommendations of the National consultative Peace Jirga and the purpose of this council
is to restore enduring peace in the country. The peace program is an Afghan led programme
and is implanted by Afghans. This is a transparent process which will at no means create
any concerns among the international community and the neighboring countries.
Supporting this process will result in successful hand over of security
responsibilities to Afghans .The high peace council invites all the insurgents to join
the peace process and play an important role in reconstruction of the countryand put an
end to the current problems in the country.
