
At an Iftar arranged by the High Peace Council, influential members of the parliament expressed their support for the peace process. Among the guests were Abdurrauf Ibrahimi, speaker of the Lower House of the parliament, and Fazel Hadi Muslimyar, speaker of the Upper House. HPC chairman Prof. Rabbani briefed them about the status of the peace process. He stressed that it needed the support of judiciary, legislative, and executive. He also recommended forming a working group in order to create a steady flow of information between the parliament and HPC. The guests welcomed this idea. Prayers for a lasting peace in Afghanistan followed.
